Terms & Conditions

Last updated: September 2026

These Terms & Conditions cover two related things: your use of this website, and the supply of quoted, fabricated and installed stone products and services by Precision Stoneworks Ltd. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

A. Use of this website

1. Website information

The images and descriptions shown on this website are provided for general information and inspiration. They may change, and a specific slab, sample or finished piece may vary from the images shown, for the natural and manufacturing reasons explained below. Website content does not itself constitute an offer capable of acceptance.

2. Quote and Sample requests are enquiries

Submitting a Quote Request or Sample Request through this website is a request for information or assistance — it is not a binding order and does not, on its own, create a contract between you and us. A contract is only formed once we have issued a quotation you have accepted, or otherwise confirmed an order with you directly (for example, in writing or by email). We do not state a universal quotation-validity period on this website. Any validity period that applies will be stated in the quotation.

3. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, images, layout and branding, belongs to Precision Stoneworks Ltd or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not otherwise copy, reproduce or republish website content without our permission.

4. Third-party links

Where this website links to third-party websites, we do not control and are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

B. Supply of products and services

5. Material characteristics

Natural stone (such as granite, marble and quartzite) is a natural product. Variation in colour, veining, pattern, texture, mineral markings and natural fissures is a normal characteristic of natural stone, not a defect, and no two slabs are identical. Engineered and manufactured surfaces (such as quartz and porcelain) may also show reasonable variation between production batches, including shade and pattern differences within the manufacturer's normal tolerances.

We cannot guarantee an exact visual match between website images, physical samples, showroom displays and the specific slab or batch used for your project. This does not affect your right to a product of satisfactory quality, as described in the “Defects and issues” section below.

6. Samples

Samples are provided to give a representative indication of colour, pattern and finish. Because of natural and manufacturing variation, a sample may not be an exact match for the slab ultimately used in your project.

7. Slab selection

Where your project involves natural stone, we will discuss slab selection and any customer approval step with you as part of the quotation and ordering process, on a project-by-project basis.

8. Templating and measurements

Any measurements or dimensions you provide through this website (including through our layout tool) are preliminary information used to prepare an estimate. Final fabrication dimensions are normally confirmed by professional templating or a site measurement before manufacture begins. If you request changes after templating or after you have approved a template, this may require revised pricing or re-templating; we will discuss this with you before proceeding.

9. Access and site conditions

Where applicable, and unless otherwise agreed or included in your quotation, we will ask that: suitable access is available for templating, delivery and installation; any relevant base units or cabinets are installed, secure and level; the intended positions for sinks, hobs and appliances are known in advance; and a safe working environment is provided. Where disconnection or reconnection of plumbing, gas or electrical services is needed and is not included in your quotation or order, you will need to arrange this with an appropriately qualified tradesperson. We will confirm what is needed for your specific project as part of the quotation process.

10. Fabrication

Depending on the size and layout of your project, one or more joints or seams may be necessary. The position of any joint can depend on slab dimensions, access, structural considerations, the pattern of the material and fabrication requirements, and will be discussed with you where relevant. Cut-outs and edge details are made to the specification agreed with you. We do not guarantee an invisible joint or perfectly continuous veining across a joint, given the nature of natural and engineered stone.

11. Installation

The exact scope of any installation is set out in your accepted quotation or order. Unless expressly included in that quotation or order, plumbing, gas and electrical work — including the disconnection or reconnection of sinks, taps, hobs, appliances or other services — is not included. Where such work is required, it should be carried out by an appropriately qualified tradesperson.

12. Delivery and access

We will agree a delivery or installation date or window with you as part of the ordering process. Occasionally dates may need to change, for example due to access issues, weather, or matters outside our reasonable control; where this happens, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible.

13. Changes and variations

If you ask us to change your requirements after a quotation has been accepted, after templating, or after fabrication has started, this may affect the price, timing or material required for your project. We will discuss and agree any resulting change with you before carrying it out.

14. Payment

Where a deposit is required, the amount will be stated in your quotation or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is due on completion of the agreed work. A specific quotation or order may set out different payment arrangements where we have genuinely agreed this with you. Nothing in this section affects your right to raise a genuine issue with products or services that are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described, as set out in the “Defects and issues” section below.

15. Cancellation and bespoke goods

Many of our products are made or cut to your specific measurements and specification. Where the law treats goods as made to your specification or clearly personalised, your statutory right to cancel may not apply to those goods in the same way as it does for off-the-shelf goods — but any such limitation only applies to the extent the law actually allows, only concerns the bespoke goods themselves, and does not remove statutory rights that continue to apply regardless, including any that relate to a separate installation or other service element of your order. Where you are contracting with us at a distance or away from our premises, and statutory cancellation rights do apply to your order, we will honour them.

We do not currently publish a fixed cancellation-charge policy on this website. Where this applies to your order, it will be set out clearly in your quotation or order confirmation before you agree to proceed.

16. Defects and issues

If you believe there is a genuine problem with your product or the standard of workmanship, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at [email protected] so we can look into it. Prompt reporting helps us resolve issues quickly, but nothing in this section limits or removes any statutory right you have to raise an issue with products or services that are not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described.

17. Care and use

Please follow the manufacturer's or our reasonable care and maintenance guidance for your material, where provided. This helps preserve its appearance but does not exclude any warranty or statutory right that otherwise applies.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law. Subject to that, we will only be responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our negligence, and we will not be liable for losses that are not foreseeable, or for business losses in the case of consumers.

C. General

19. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK you live in, and nothing in these Terms takes away any protection given to you by mandatory consumer-protection laws of the country in which you are resident.
